Higuain back from Chelsea on supposedly the second highest wage in the league and Ronaldo on god only knows. The rest of the squad are hardly on the cheap. Now they are in for DeLigt at 80 mill with 250-300k wages? I just can't see how they float that.

They can account for the wages differently when the player comes in on a free, it can be done very 'creatively' a sort of reverse amortisation We should give them wood£#%&! to do their financials and get their director of football.

Don't those that come in as a free agent get bumped up salary as there's no fee to pay to the other club?

That was pretty widely reported as the figure at the time. I’m not certain but I seem to remember there was something with the numbers being available to the public. Might be wrong but I’m sure it’s easily checked if anyone’s arsed.
