Old Trafford being half full for rest of the season reads much better and will be very well noticed worldwide.

Like I said it’s a moo point because neither will happen. We’ll sing some more songs for a few games and it will fall out to nothing.
Our supporters are maybe more like sheep, though.

Surely something that will hit them financially is a boycott of programmes, food and drink inside the stadium. That's where all their match day income comes from now as the season tickets are paid for long ago. If nobody buys the food then they'll soon notice it in their pockets although they probably earn far more on corporate dining than from pies and Bovril.

Good luck with that, you seen the queues for ale at HT?

That's usually just Ged. Stop him going and you'll be fine.

Surely everyone can wait till they get back to the pub? I barely make it in time for kick off and all I'm thinking about in the 2nd half is getting that first pint in after

They probably make about 15 million a year from the concourse sales in the whole season. It probably doesn’t cover Woodward’s heating bills.

But it will cause a fuss. Media will pick up on it. Bad media coverage leads to shareprice dropping.( i think/hope)

Have been single handedly boycotting the £4.80 bottles in favour of the £3 pints...would imagine that's why they've had to sell Young.

The programme sales are sub-contracted out, so the Glazers have already had their money for that. They won't give a shit. Plus, it's probably worth about £2.5m per season to them (40,000 x 32 home games x £2.00 from supplier).

I suspect the deal on food is the same, on the concourses anyway. Maybe worth a bit more, but still peanuts.

Pretty sure the match day revenue, tickets, food drink all included is a drop in the ocean to what the club makes.

Its the £#%&!ing Chinese buying all the shirts that keeps the pockets lined. OT could be empty every week and it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference money wise. ST still been paid for but left empty is pointless.

To really hit them it will take 10-20 years of shit with merchandise, sponsors and everything dropping, by which time the damage will be difficult to mend.

Of course nibbling at different revenue streams isn’t going to impact

Empty stadium seats on TV for the majority of a game will damage the brand for big sponsors. That’s where they will be spooked.

Especially with a team that you couldn’t rely on to fill a kettle

Sorry but that's Bs. Football without fans is nothing. Good luck selling the TV rights for a league with empty stadiums. And sponsors don't want to be associated with anything toxic. Zero chance of anything draconian happening of course
