I agree, but I think we’ll compromise somewhere and that’ll be it. We can get away with more than we can compared to not buying a striker. I think we’ll bring in a keeper, but I don’t think it’ll be a £50m plus one.

Keeper is absolutely & utterly & not remotely as important as a striker.

Team scored 30 goals less than 2nd place. Scored only a handful more goals than Leicester who were relegated. 10 more than Leeds who went through 3 managers & Bamford blazing penalties up front.

Failure to buy a top striker and any injury to Rashford whatsoever will have the hindsight merchants all over it next season if some of those 13 1-goal wins start reverting to draws in face of added competition from a Liverpool side with new midfielders, Poch-Chelsea team plus whatever Newcastle spend.

Think we'll get a young talented sweeper keeper as understudy and have De Gea on passing drills all summer.

14 clean sheets in 22 games. Not sure what the strength in depth of that league is though, outside the top four.

Ramsdale from Salah for me, though I like the ones from Bazunu and Ramsdale when they got across the goal and closed down the striker, excellent goalkeeping.

Just shows any keeper can make the odd top reflex save though..

His agent is bellyaching that they’re demanding £40m despite him having a year left and telling them to drop the price or he’ll sit it out.

No way they’re getting £40m for a relatively low profile goalkeeper in the last year of his deal. Postering. £30m, tops.

Exactly, it's a ludicrous fee - would put him in the Top 6 most expensive keepers ever & with one year on his deal & not coming from a CL side

Would be shocked if they got half that.

Spurs offered £13m+ some nobody apparently Never change Levy you massive #@&%!.

You’re the wum..

You haven’t made one decent suggestion on who should replace him. You probably have yourself down as a bit of a keeper connoisseur but your response to anything he does is what you’d expect from someone with one brain cell.. “he’s £#%&!”.
Never forgave Fergal for binning Leighton off before we had a poll on his replacement. @#%&! went and pulled the Great Dane out of his arse too, no one had £#%&!ing heard of him. £#%&!ing liberty

I was thinking the other day whether real top talent can go under the radar nowadays.

Back then there was no internet and scouting reports would have been telephoned or posted in.

Now, even Maguire has got a highlight reel…or rather Barry Norman has it.
