He could pile on the pounds and become the new Les Dawson.

Imagine the faces he could pull if he took his teeth out.

Feels a bit more retirement than just leaving the club tbh.
I'm guessing the club did this instead of a testimonial but it's pretty embarassing to be honest. He should have just been quietly released.

He was an ok squad player under Fergie who somehow ended up staying way beyond his use to us and earned literally millions for doing so. Why we feel the need to give him some sort of plaque is crazy.

I think he'll be looking around the £10K with maybe bonuses on pay as you play.

tbh he could do non league for a bit just to prove he can still walk

I'm surprised he can read and write tbh. Millions wasted in wages. His departure has been too long a time coming.

If he’s very lucky, he’ll get a contract as product taster for crayola.

My mate met him at a do last week and was discussing the best streaming sites for the match. Big Phil huffing and puffing over pop-ups with the lads

Bet he comes on here.

Oh right. He’ll love seeing the hysterics at his nose ploughing a furrow in the OT turf and our appreciative respect as he picks up another 100k p/w for watching daytime tv

If I was a manager I’d have morning thread briefings for the players so they knew what fans were really thinking.

Might have to censor a couple of the absolute doomlords for morales sake.

Giving him another contract in 2019 (just after OGS got the gig, let's not forget) remains one of Woodward's most ridiculous decisions of all.

Ole looked less than impressed when they announced it too.

Doesn't even get a proper seat - has to slum it with the fans.
