Sir Frog gets a kicking in today's papers.
Manchester based hacks at The Telegraph and Mail laying into the Glorious Leader today. Am told a couple more were on the radio this morning doing similar. Seems Woodward has given them the nod to place a lot of the blame for United's current struggles at Fergie's door. Interesting.
Manchester United turmoil is partly down to Sir Alex Ferguson and the club's transfer policy Manchester United's problems started with Sir Alex Ferguson... the Old Trafford club are paying the price for his dud signings |

It's not altogether surprising. Galling as the debt payments are, we have had the means to assemble a vastly superior squad to the rash of ill-disciplined misfits we find ourselves encumbered with. |

Interesting timing for sure.
Moyes has another free pass again. While some of these players haven't lived up to expectations and are Ferguson signings, the damage done by Moyes has £#%&!ed up some of these players to a point where nobody wants to give us money for them as it's such a big risk. Chicharito is a good player, but once Moyes got his hands on him it's incredible how far back he's fallen. |

Fergie got lazy in his last few years IMO. He knew his career was coming to an end, so was only interested in winning a few pots to leave on a high. The long-term progression of the club was neglected, which is probably why the signings were so poor, the scouting system went to shit, and the youth-team conveyor-belt dried up.
Can't blame him too much as he put 25 years of blood, sweat and tears into the club, but ultimately he seems to have failed in passing over a healthy squad to his successor(s). The argument that he left a squad of Champions is misleading, as no other manager would have won the title with those players, other than Fergie. |

Wonder if Fergie will get his own pals on Fleet Street to fire back immediately, or hold off and wait for further calamities to unfold. |

His first goal sums him up well. Should have been a simple tap in but instead he was falling back while he hit it. He hit the ball against his face which went in. Very good knack/lucky of being there at the right time but awful player outside the penalty box. I am not sure he will ever be even a good player for any top club. Not much more than a super sub. |
