If he plays fryers and fabio he'll play valencia and park as they're better defensively.

Bench tomorrow would be nice

The problem with having so many young defenders is they all need game time, which prevents the use of a settled back 4/5. It was never an issue when the back up was the likes of Brown, O'Shea, Silvestre et al, as they could come in having not played for 6 weeks and such and perform to an acceptable level, the kids need to play to progress.

It's a conundrum for the manager.

10:00 Sir Alex: "We hope we can recover from the disappointment of last week. We’ve done that well over the years and we have to do that again. It’s been a tough week for everyone – it was a bad result last Sunday. We have to get over it, though – the fans, the players, the staff. We must kick on. We enjoyed Tuesday night [against Aldershot] but we need to show ourselves tomorrow. The youngsters are always in my mind. We had a lot of good performances on Tuesday – it was a very professional display. When you’re picking from 25 players it is difficult, but I know all the players will contribute this season." (GT)

09:58: The boss, speaking at this morning's press conference: "We have one or two knocks. Ashley Young has a toe injury and we’ll see what he’s like today. The knocks are nothing serious and I hope we’ll have a strong enough squad for tomorrow. It’s always a difficult game at Everton. I went to see their game on Wednesday [against Chelsea in the Carling Cup]. They all put a shift in and are always committed."(GT)

Fryers to start?

As much as I'd love to see that, there's no way he'll drop Kenny Evra

Yep, which is probably for the best, as there is a decent chance that a United fan would murder him on the pitch on Saturday.

We'll discuss the assistant thing later but it has to be worth a shot.

Tbh if he starts with 2 up front again the only way we'll win is if our wingers have a blinder.

I £#%&!ing hate two wingers and two strikers.
