Wouldn't have got to Barca without him as there was a £#%&! up with my passport which I didn't get until the 24th and spending a Moorning in Liverpool which meant nearly missing my General Studies exam. Now that's a £#%&!ing A-Level.
Fair played pal, all I wanted to do was go to away matches at that age tbh.

As my Dad always says to me. If you want to be a big boy on Friday night, you've got to be a big boy Saturday morning.

1st match I clearly remember (wasn't my 1st match though) was '64 vs champs Everton. Hot August day, Everton fans and banners in the Stret - amazing atmos and I was hooked instantly. They'd just hammered us at theirs in the Charity Shield 4-0 as we were cup winners and really felt we were back after the air crash. Dazzling Denis and Paddy just arrived in a new era for us. 5-1 for us. Cloud 9. Age 8.

Memorable ones in between as a kid but have to skip to Blackpool 74/75 at home. Stret at it's best and packed to the rafters. Fans up the floodlights and roof. "United are back, helloooooooooooo, hellooooooooooooo"

Barca: 0-2 down from the 1st leg. Robbo.......the guy was super-human. Man love.

Title parade vs Blackburn '93. Nuff said.

99 FA cup vs dippers - Ole ....what a £#%&!ing season

Have a shit memory for games and stopped going regular in 92. In 80s, tended to go to piss about with mates more than watch the games.
- But yes was at barca 84/free trade hall. Up in the rafters at the back of the stretty with my old man. Remember the maradona song more than the game. atmosphere incredible
- Vs Forest in 92. Just that feeling of despair around the ground at final whistle. Stayed eith me a long time.
- Midweek game in about 85 when there was a pitch invasion and I got on
- Vs Scouse early 80s. My first time in Stretty proper. Incredible.
- Lou Macari's testimonial - had some adventures that day. Met drunken Scottish football fans in person for first time. Daft @#%&!s

yep - you forget stuff you should remember and remember stuff everyone else has forgotten. Tailed off going for a bit when I discovered going out drinking but soon got the hang of blending the two.

Absolutely nothing comes close to Blackburn '93. My memory is pretty shite nowadays, but I seem to remember that pretty clearly, even seeing the Cantona ('66 was a great year...) billboard opposite the ground for the first time.

Other than that, I can barely remember much; Busby game, 'Borough semi-final, always like the Liverpool 2-2 with no Stretford end, Ole vs Liverpool, Ipswich 9-0 spring to mind.

Far too many.
But for utter mongfest and bearing in mind my memory is shit.
I don't remember a reaction like the 4-3 v city Owens goal.

I came out of the ground buzzin

First game 69 beat Forest 3-1 George scored

74/75 League cup beating the bitters 1-0 when we were Div 2. Holton and the atmosphere immense.

74/75 v Blackpool going up, on the pitch etc

Stapleton Winner v Everton 83

84 3-0 v Barca

Keane snapping that blue @#%&! in half might get in on another day
