Financially they are on their arses. It’s just we are run to generate profits so the glazers get their dividends. The Spanish clubs are run to be a football club first , to win football matches and be the best.

In the last two seasons Madrid have an ageing kroos and Modric soon the be replaced with camavinga and tchouameni. Even after winning the league and champions league. If either of them end up being a dud they will go and replace them at the nearest opportunity.

Since our last proper CM (carrick) retired, the club have signed Fred and VDB if you’re being generous. That’s two central midfielders since our last proper central midfielder left . When the likes of pogba clearly weren’t good enough after a few season they should have binned him. Or at the very least signed a proper CM and move him forward, or sign a CM to partner him to get the best out of him… they did £#%&! all.

I highly doubt 2 managers ( 3 if you want to include ralf) didn’t once ask for a CM since carrick left and it was clear Fred wasn’t good enough.

This is one example, you could say the same about any position at the club.

Big CB issues when Jose was denied players. ole having to wait a year for Sancho. There is no foresight. If we need a position filled they take 3 windows to get there.

The football club is run to make money not to win things. They can exploit it because we are so big. Money will always come in, seats will always be filled, merchandise will always be bought . It would take probably 10 years of finishing outside the top 4 to even begin to hit their finances to the extent where the parasite bastards may even think about leaving.
