Seems like a smart choice tbf.
He's only 19, still learning. Serie A is not so much of a huge step up that he would be exposed and he can learn to defend amongst the best defenders. He'll hoover up easy trophies and then move onto Madrid in a couple of years. |

I doubt we were even in the top 5 options for the lad and it amazes me people think we were a realistic prospect.
What IS frustrating is that 20 years ago we'd have been battling it out and probably winning. |
