That's if you take the first half of the season into full account. After Bruno came in we were a different outfit altogether and one of, if not the best team in the league in terms of results.

Still think we need Sancho, a DM and another centre back at least, but it's possible that we're not a million miles away as we are.

Other than them being completely out on their feet after 10 games. Bodes well for a side that’s getting about a week off in the next 9 months following on from the hectic 2 months they’ve just had. As Sparky said, no pressure

Single-handedly

We were joint top of the league in the games after restart, 4 points ahead of the champions.

Or if you go back and do it from when Bruno signed, we’d be top by 2 points.

HTH

There’s 3 weeks between the possible Europa final and the start of the prem

Yes, but the fixtures were squeezed in every few days.

I agree that we need more signings, especially if we want to even think about trying to compete in the Champions League.

But the point remains that the squad we had when we started the season is not the same squad that we ended the season with and will go into next season + anyone we sign (if anyone is signed).

I don’t think there’s any chance that anybody won’t be delighted with the signing tbh

Disappointed if he’s the only signing, or if the deal falls apart and we don’t sign anybody, absolutely.

All teams get a 30 day break before the start of the next season. So if we get into the Europa League final, the start of our season will be delayed.

Then we’ll have to make games up during rest periods between other games?

Next season is going to be £#%&!ing tough however it’s arranged. We’ll be seeing a lot of the supporting cast..

I get that we flogged our starting 11 a bit when the season resumed, but let’s not forget they had 3 months off prior to that. The fact that this exhaustion line is ongoing is a bit overblown. We won’t go into a new season playing the same 11 week in week out.

Then we’ll struggle because the bulk of those outside the starting XI aren’t good enough.

Sancho will 100% come, even if its last minute. What we'll clearly do though is sell before we'll buy others.

Smalling, Lingunt & hopefully a few more to go.
