First manager since Frank O'Farrell to not add a bean to the trophy count is sadly the greater reflection of his tenure.

I’m talking purely from the point of view of the state of the club when Ragnick too over compared to when Solksjaer took over.

Mourinho’s final months in charge were crap, but they were nowhere near as bad as the prolonged torturous finals 9 months of Ole’s reign. The results and performances were as bad as I’ve ever seen in nearly 4 decades of following this club.

The fact that Ragnick is having such trouble turning things around would suggest that the rot is now far greater and more desperate than at any time since Ferguson left.

Permanent managers only. Didn't think there was anyone daft enough to ask.

100%.

A great Ole achievement was immediately fumigating the toxic atmosphere that Mourinho had left wafting through every corridor of Old Trafford.

The degradation of the club during those final Mourinho months was criminal. Him talking publicly about how we don't have a European pedigree, ffs.

Apart from winning nothing in 3 years, suffering some of the worst defeats in the club's history, squandering hundreds of millions while Liverpool won their first title in 30 years and a CL, as well as city winning 2 leagues and getting to their first ever CL final, while also leaving the club in utter chaos and the playing staff at war with each other, Ole did a fine job imo.

Brilliant? Exemplary? Unparalleled? There's many adjectives that can apply to those golden years.
