Head over the ‘Ole + 3’ thread for some fantastic Saffers mental gymnastics that culminates in claiming that offside goals are due to bad luck,

He can be forgiven for his bitterness towards LvG, as it was big Louis that cast him aside tbf.

to be fair Van Gaal obviously knew that behind the scenes we had generational talents like Tyler Blackett, Donald Love, Paddy McNair and Coma-Face. So letting Rafael go was no biggie.

I would say Rafael has hit the nail on the head in both cases

Tbf, if Rafael could’ve stayed fit for 4 or 5 games on the spin he may have got the benefit of the doubt.

IIRC all the names mentioned only played due to a quite ridiculous injury list that had 12+ first team players unavailable and he had to work with those available in the ranks.

I remember when McNair cleared the ball with a desperate backwards header in his first or second game; that was enough for some people to have him nailed on as our starting cb for the next decade.

Currently at Middlesbrough.

Tbf van gaal’s squad management at united was amongst the worst in modern football history. Set us back years.

He was an utter £#%&!wit.

He also hates Brazilian footballers, despised joyful footballers & sought to ruin them for no good reason. Jose looked like some kind of attack minded tactical maniac compared to the turgid filth turned out by LVG.

Ole's eclipsing two legends of the game with his approach here, it's all about timing I guess. Both those legendary coaches were absolute busted flushes when they came here - I hope to £#%&! we can find a midfielder to tie this upgraded side together. Could really see him flourish after some steady progress.

"I transformed Valencia from a right-winger to a right full-back. Valencia also played as a right full-back after my dismissal for the coach Jose Mourinho, so was my choice a bad one?”
