So we've agreed to sell him for €20m, and it's a done deal?

Great business for United, if so.

The fact we’ve got the 2nd best defence in the league suggests maybe we do?

Get Tuanzebe fit and get him in instead of Lindelof.

We've had a pretty solid defence for the past 4 years, we had the best defence in the league in 2015/16 and second best in 2017/18 with Smalling a regular player and people still had him at the top of the list of shit @#%&!s to go.

Jones and Bailly have a ridiculous injury history and should be moved on, but the criticism Smalling has got has been ridiculous, he's been the whipping boy for a midfield and attack that was an embarrassment to the club pretty much every year since Fergie left up to this year

If Smalling had been beaten by Bergwijn as easy as Maguire was first game back people would've gif'ed the shit out of it for £#%&!ing months.

All true. Shaw and Lindelof are the current whipping boys. Doesn't matter what they do, they're shit and cowards/fat

I don’t recall the midfield or attack avoiding criticism because it was being heaped on Smalling. Multiple players in multiple positions can be deemed not fit for purpose simultaneously.

All players -every single one, including Ronaldo and Messi- have a debit and credit column; you just have to determine whether what you give up is worth what you get back. In Smallings case he was very good in one v one situations, but had no leadership skills, made too many dumb decisions and was absolutely terrible on the ball. If he’s back up to a Vidic/Frdinand cb pairing, fine - however he’s nowhere near good enough to be first choice for a team with aspirations.

It’s not made up though. Shaw is very limited going forward (small improvements recently) and his defensive positioning is shocking. Mourinho hinted he was thick as shit, and while the spiteful one has become a deeply flawed manager, I’m pretty sure he had a basis for saying that. We see it virtually every game.

And did you see the way Lindelof turned away from that Zaha shot v Palace, the one where he came inside AWB and De Gea saved? It was embarrassing under 11’s stuff.

I actually think he’d be good with Harry in the back four but Ole wants to play out of the back and his distribution is pants... £20m for somebody we paid £10m for and got 8, 9 years for? Good business that.
