What's your prediction?

Obviously it's hard to tell with hirings and firings inevitable and inspired transfer still in the pipe line, I'm sure.

But right here, right now, here's mine:

1. Chelsea
2. Manchester United
3. Liverpool
4. Arsenal
5. Tottenham Hotspur
6. Newcastle United
7. Aston Villa
8. Everton
9. West Ham United
10. Blackburn Rovers

12. Portsmouth
13. Sunderland
14. Reading
15. Bolton
16. Middlesbrough
17. Birmingham
18. Fulham
19. Derby
20. Wigan

Feel free to slate and I shall give my reasons.

I think there is so little between United and Chelsea.

I always fancy the team that is stinging from the previous title season loss.
They'll want it more this year than they did last and it's up to us to show as much desire.
The pressure is on us more, despite our signings.

Honestly though, toss a coin because I think it will be as tight as ever between us this year.

Liverpool to improve greatly, but still 5-10 points adrift.

Its going to the wire next season.Chelsea have squad players now who can come in and do a job for them meaning they wont have to play Essien in defence.

something like that.

I think Wigan have bought pretty well, enough to survive.
Reading will struggle big time like Wigan last year (who have learned from there mistakes it appears).

Southgates taking Boro down. Theyre in dissaray.

Spurs will edge out Arsenal like they should have 2 seasons ago.

No?

I think Allardyce will get them ticking. He's signed reasonably well and I think he'll look to seriously up root all their old problems and start from scratch with them.
He's got money to spend and it may take time, but I think he'll get it right.

I think there's some real competition coming from the sides who are usually perennial mid table teams.

It's hard to separate out
Blackburn (Hughes is bulding there),
Portsmouth ('Arry's Midas touch and all that),
West Ham (Curbishly slowly getting it right and plenty to spend),
City (Money and Sven - just think the lack of pre season time will cost him), Villa (O'Neill was just starting to get it right towards the end of last year. Weren't they ten unbeaten?)
Everton (always in and around the top 6)

I think all those teams will push for top 8 and will finish in and around each other there.

I expect Reading to suffer the second season syndrome.
Bolton have Lee in charge - enough said
Middlesbrough look like a selling club and have the hapless southgate in charge. I think they'll really struggle.
Sunderland will be just about ok. Can't see a Keano driven side going down.
Fulham are perennial 14th/15th/16th and with Sanchez I think he might push them over the edge.
Derby just don't have the quality and Wigan are doomed as long as Hutchings is there.

So, Bedders, Instead of just dismissing, how's about saying who you think will finish where?

Not too different to me.

I do think Wigan have bought well, but Hutchings is hapless.
Middlesbrough are all over the place, but should enough quality to be ok - but it wouldn't suprise me if they went.

I can't see the bottom three being anyone other than Wigan, Derby, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Fulham and Birmingham.

Maybe Reading, but they seem to have kept enough of their playesr (so far) to be ok.

Now who are the defenders Allardyce is gonna get ticking to stop the barcodes being truly appalling again?
I don't care who finishes where, though obviously Spurs will win a Premier Leeague/Champions League double.

If you don't care then why are you getting involved?

Some have taken the time to get involved, be clear and explain their reasons.

You just dismissed.

Re: Defenders. He's signed this Rozenthal guy and has Geremi too. Stephen Taylor is fast becoming a quality player too.

Plus he got rid of Bramble which can only be a good thing. I think their problems are less to do with personnel and more about organisation.

Get a grip. It's just a prediction.

Who did we sign last season compared to Chelsea? And who won the title?

My turn to roll my eyes now.

If you think we're dead certs to win it then you're extremely biased. It will be close again. If we don't win it, I think it will be down to too much rotation.

He's right though that all some people seem to do is moan and say everyone is wrong. Those same people are never prepared to make any predictions or judgements of their own.
