Football 2014 World Cup

is anyone that arsed about it? I've never known a WC to have so little build up, are the stadiums even ready?

I can't wait, it should be amazing.

It'll probably be the last great World Cup.

England will be shit but that adds to the entertainment.

last potentially decent world cup.

obviously it depends on the strength of the top countries.

If spain snore their way to another win then it's going to be shit.

It's going to be a nice distraction from the utterly shit season.

I'm looking forward to the crazy kick off times.

Im looking forward to Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Lawro getting into the 'samba' mood... all glowing pink like lobsters and sitting their smug as you like.

Makes me proud to pay my tv license

Looking forward to it.

I am actually, probably because of how poor united have been to watch. If he took aload of young players to prep them for the euros I'd be even more into it.

Can't wait to see 4 years of amoral, rampant corruption come to fruition for 4 weeks of advert-interrupted football matches.

Cool build-up always low key until spring..

..then the official Panini World Cup Stickers are released - then the countdown begins !!

My 8 and 10 year old lads are doing one each this year.

That's a lot of stickers.. a lot of pocket money to earn ...no doubt a lot of tears and tantrums...and the kids get giddy as well ..letters home from school about them being banned..

can't wait

Build up for me starts when the wallcharts come out.

My lad is 6 this year so this will be the first tournament he can really get into, especially when I show him my colour-coded system for completing the wallchart.

Looking forward to them sitting there chuckling in our very faces, bragging about how little research they've done.

Shearer: 'Well, no-one's ever heard of Paraguay, Gary'
Lineker: 'Actually I scored two against them, in 1986'
Lawrenson: 'That's more than I got in my entire career'
All: ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Ha ha ha.
