I can only assume VAR determined that the foul began outside the box and therefore should have been a free kick but they can’t award that?

it was a blatant penalty and it was a blatant red card earlier.

however, our £#%&!ing lack of quality from free kicks, corners and 5-yard passes is.... not even shocking, tbh.
