Sounds like Emery's turned them down. Next stop Eddie Howe.

He might still change his mind soon, managers have said even more fulsome stuff than that and gone on to do so.

Eddie Howe

£#%&!ing Newcastle. This could end up like Harry & Lloyd finding that briefcase stuffed with money.

Howe's alright tbf, even if Jawdies will find him just a bit underwhelming. He should keep them up this season, he did it often enough with Bournemouth (before he finally didn't)

They do they, don't they.

There's a fairly long list of players who Liverpool have been willing to sell for massively inflated prices relative to what the player has ever shown in their first team, but they get a big premium for them.

We even bought one. £9m on Ki Jana Hoever. £9m is not a lot of money as far as transfers go, but if you were buying a lad from Lille or AEK Athens who'd proven themselves more, you'd pay a fraction. Also worth noting, Liverpool paid Wolves a total of £4m up front to get Diogo Jota as part of that transaction, with the rest of the fee made up on tick.

Kind of have to admire their transfer business over the last few years if I'm honest.

Hate Eddie Howe though. His Bournemouth team were one of the worst in either the Championship or Premier League for diving. Hope he takes Newcastle down.

I was arguing with a mate that Newcastle would be top 4 within three seasons.

What an idiot I was.

How much did they get for that Rhian Brewster who has scored literally no goals for Sheff Utd?
