We could still easily have got a point in the end, though. FFS we have "battered" enough teams this campaign without actually winning

I'll be honest, this thread is going a long way to creating this impression.

I can't remember a game when everything points to us getting beat so much. 4-0 United.

We've got no chance tonight have we?

No recognised strikers and rumours of Fellaini playing upfront, jesus christ

Fellaini is going to step up tonight. Deflected header off Cahill, inside 10 minutes. Chelsea to win 4-1.

Hasn't the team been confirmed without Fellaini?

Anyways, I really don't think they battered us, in the truest sense of the word... Sure the scoreline was a "battering" but, their performance wasn't exactly outstanding. They didn't exactly do anything special. As so many times this season, we've been the the reason for our own downfall.

Some of the mistakes we made in that match were down right amateur.
they don't have to though, because we don't have a very good side.
Bournemouth, Hull, Stoke, Burnley etc.. didn't have to do anything special to take points off us either.

We're 6th in the League & talking up our Europa League chances for a reason.
However, tonight is a bit of a 'free hit' really because it's such a tough ask.
You never know..

cast iron Pen turned down for us though naturally

the Arsenal result at Old Trafford was careless as £#%&! on our part.

0-0 at Anfield isn't a bad point but we were shit in the 1-1 with them at Old Trafford - & they're £#%&!ing ordinary lets not forget.

Chelsea battered us back in October. I don't think they will tonight, but they'll have too much for us sadly - & again, just like Liverpool I don't think they're anything to write home about.
i'd say we were lucky to get back into the game but from the moment we did we could easily have won - zlatan should have made it 2-2 before half-time...

also let's not forget that whether they played us off the park or not, their opener came from a massive hoof up the pitch.

arsenal was sloppy, but we should have been seeing out a comfortable win rather than trying to see out a 1-0...

the vermin games were both tight...

the city win in the LC was fully deserved.

chelsea away was properly olympiakossed by the jagerbombing #@&%!.

heaton was brilliant, the hull keeper was pretty £#%&!ing good, the bournemouth keeper saved a very good penalty... we had about 80 goal attempts against just the 3 promoted sides alone at old traford and the fact any of them got a point at OT was extraordinary in itself...

I'm banking on this too

but the rational part of my brain tells me we've go no chance, especially with no recognised strikers, we find it hard enough scoring as it is ffs

but £#%&! it, tonight's result will hardly define our season, lets see what comes of it

Hopefully they'll think it's in the bag and take their eye off the ball.

Am I being naive?

Tbf, we've struggled scoring so far this season because of our recognized strikers.
