Default Sorry Scholes has to go

SAF is doing what he did with Keane - staying loyal to a player well past his best. Keane cost us 2 seasons and playing Scholes will cost us this season. To a lesser extent he did this with RVN too. You can't carry a player who plays down the middle. Loyalty is Ferguson's greatest strength but also his greatest weakness

Funnily enough I was wondering if Scholes might decide to call it a day at the end of the season if he can't pick his form up to his own standards.

He'll still be crucial come the end of the season but even the most one-eyed can see that he's still way off his game.

He hasn't been back any time at all though in fairness to the ginger lad.

Sad 1st half from him.

He's not been the player he was for a couple of seasons now. It's almost taboo for a United fan to criticise him but he's not 25 any more. Like when Keane was finished as a force we we won't win a title with Scholes starting matches.

Yes, but what about Rio, he keeps just giving it back to them if you give it away cheaply as a defender you're right under the cosh.

Yes he was total pants last season. God only knows how he managed to con his fellow professionals into voting him into 3rd place in the Player of the Year award.

He's just coming back from injury ffs.

For the first goal he should have been protecting the back 4, playing in front, as is his job. So not in fact utter %@#$&!s.

That's OK then he should be match fit by April by which time we'll be 10 points behind Arsenal.

That's probably more to do with Arsenal being a better team than us rather than Scholes' form.

We were doing fine until Scholes came back.

And we were doing fine with him in the team before his injury too.

Maybe we should have left him out these last two seasons you speak off and we'd have won a couple more European Cups as well.
