The bitterness and quite ridiculous stance of Sutton is something to behold. Ignoring the fact it was clear as day a penalty and we got £#%&! all last season in making his "point".

The manager needs to come out and address this. Every week now we’re seeing the refs in our games being hammered and called corrupt if so much as a corner goes our way. This has to have an effect on future matches for us and only results in refs being reluctant to give us anything.

There’s often an immediate opposition reaction in the next game too. After that Onana incident, you just knew there would be something at Spurs and we had the handball.

Yesterday’s was a stonewall penalty you see awarded up and down the country on a regular basis. It simply doesn’t require or deserve the scrutiny it’s receiving. Even if you think it isn’t, the level of reaction is bizarre. Sutton saying it’s clearly a dive - “we all agree”.

Martin Keown calls it a disgrace.

Nedum Onoua (spl? Like anyone gives a £#%&!) said he was “still upset” when asked about it.

Upset.

Can you imagine a pundit describing themselves as upset if Brighton received a 76th minute penalty at home to Wolves?

It’s utterly hysterical and all a bit weird.

The position of refs ‘giving in to pressure’ makes no sense either. Not only do they cite the days of Fergie - he left ten years ago, you weirdos - but they ignore the fact that absolutely nothing brings you more negative and ferocious attention in the media and with the authorities than awarding a favourable decision to Manchester United.

In the last three weeks, we’ve had referees demoted and now an official complaint - just from two decisions. Meanwhile, our appeal at Spurs is dismissed with little more than a Bruno Fernandes post-match whinge. So yeah, really looks like there’s huge pressure to give United decisions.

Someone is going to have to be tasered at the Emirates on Sunday if we’re to get a decision.

No. The treble denying moment was not getting a penalty when when Ronaldo was scythed in two.

Sutton is on a wum because they (dailymail) have a new podcast and outraged United fans equals engagement.

I take it Sutton was up in arms at the penalty Liverpool were awarded against Bournemouth then.

from the first minute of that game, it was clear we would get nothing. we were totally robbed, but it was forgotten instantly. certain decisions are burned into the national psyche, but not those. nor any of the decisions against chelsea that cost us titles. nor that rio penalty. que sera.

I'm genuinely baffled at the penalty being called controversial at all. It was absolutely stonewall but the narrative is now that we got lucky with it and Rashford is a cheat.

The Liverpool one against Bournemouth was a blatant dive but hasn't been mentioned since. It's ridiculous.

I enjoy all the cryarsing about decisions United get.
The whole country were brought up on "They Think It's All Over" and it shows. They've passed their hatred down a generation and they blindly hate everything about United and they can't think straight or rationally

Ex-players are the same. Absolutely ruined by Fergie. A lot are trophyless because of him so they all just peddle the narrative that we influence refs (and now VAR) when it's absolute bullshit.

It's tantamount to slander at this point. I know it sounds petty but if i were rashford i'd be seeing about suing that £#%&!ing cretin Chris Sutton. Someone has to draw a line because it's getting absolutely ridiculous at this point.

The hysteria around every single thing that goes our way. And let's be honest, these are relatively mundane incidents that don't deserve such ridiculous scrutiny and the only reason this is happening is for social media engagement and clicks. The biggest scandal of our first 3 games was that handball at Spurs and it's been largely ignored. We're the big draw so we get all the engineered controversy.

I don't think it's funny at all mate. Because the refs in this country are such cowards they'll take all this nonsense on board it'll result in more incidents like we saw at Spurs where we get absolutely nothing for months

Oh I know we're in for some shockers now but it's always been the case

Re: Saturday's game

Forest's free kick leading to their 2nd goal was taken TEN YARDS away, further up the pitch. Nothing said about that

Varane pulled down by his shirt in the box which is a clear penalty. Nothing said about that

The decisions he bothered to get right were the correct calls. But let everyone have a meltdown about it. It says more about them than anything

it matters, though. That's the problem. When everyone goes mad about a decision going our way, it makes it more difficult for refs to make decisions in our favour. It's easier to come down on the other side, because there will be absolutely no fuss about it. See the handball Middlesborough had against us in the cup as an example.

Also worth noting that we basically stopped getting penalties because Klopp said we were getting too many.

Ole and Ralf both let a lot of shit go by without complaint. Ten Haag seems similarly nice in this regard. He needs to bring attention to all of the meaningful decisions that go against us, IMO.

Just wondered if you were aware given the gleeful reposting of that gif.

Your boy was the worst player in red on the pitch.
