Ferguson got 20 odd games a year out of Anderson, then Moyes arrived and he got 8. He never got near his potential, but he was rarely as bad as he is sometimes portrayed and on his day he was good at carrying the ball out of midfield in a way we missed until Pogba arrived. Plus he was always chuffed as a @#%&! to wear the shirt.

Our best summer for transfers ever in terms of ambition?
Signed two of the brightest talents in football, a CL winning midfielder (although how he passed a medical escapes me) and Carlos Tevez This to add to a side which looked like it had the best centre back pairing around, the best left back and two of the best attackers in world football. It's sad that that was the last time we would show any ambition to be the best club in the world, imo. |
