I *think* the last champions to lose that many were Blackburn in 1994-5, but that was a 42-game season.
The record since is 6, set by us in 1995-6 (the first 38 match title) and equalled a few times since....... (can't remember when off the top of my head though!) |

It's obviously Chelsea's to lose now but I wouldn't be surprised if there's another twist or two. They've got to go to both Spurs and the Dippers who are both fighting for 4th place.
If we want any chance of winning it, we need to win all 5 games. We've done it before and it's entirely possible. You'd expect us to win all but the City game. If Rooney is fit for that game, we might take the 3pts. Chelsea have dropped points several times when you wouldn't expect them to. We just need to keep putting pressure on them and hope that they slip up. |
