Bailly has been our best player this season imo.

And one of our best signings in ages.

Blind's best game in a while. I worry about his positioning when the game is stretched but with the tactics against City he didn't put a foot wrong.

Bailly is just class

Blind is fine so long as you don't put the ball in the air, so last night was a great game for him to play in - never going to get exposed & we didn't push up at all, so no space in behind.

Seems somewhat unlikely that we'd face the same sort of sides week in week out, but he's a cracking option for when we do want those attributes.

Bailly in comparison, distribution aside (which was likely under instruction to hoof it) will never be exposed physically & his reading of the game was equally as good. Very impressed when he's good, his games after the ACN were utter toss, but he is still pretty inexperienced for his age. Will become a beast.

Yes, really shows the depth Utd have at CB if Blind is the 5th option but Bailly of all of them looks to have the highest ceiling.

They still got what little joy they had by getting in behind him.

Good 5th choice CB, 3rd choice LB and 6th Choice CM.

Bailly is £#%&!ing awesome

unreal.

Bailly & Blind were both great tonight btw
first of all wtf is this rooney shit doing polluting a thread about bailly and blind

secondly i distinctly remember posting a link to his goal at stoke and saying i was delighted he finally got the record out of the way after all these months banging on about it with a beauty rather than some deflected scuffer going in off his wig.

blind isn't a natural fit for a mourinho back line obviously.

but he's proved himself against the best in that position because of his excellent reading of the game, his nous, his timing and his composure on the ball.

last night city just played straight into our hands as far as the back line goes, but guardiola is nothing if not predictable.
