Was working that night, radio was on, Alan Green commentating, even he, abu leader that he was, came close to excitement for the Giggs goal. Knew it was special then.

These threads, pointing out how much time has passed, no.

Forgot his allegiances a few weeks later in Barcelona, as well

More than made up for those lapses subsequently, obviously.

No surprises to be seeing that kind of game the way that season was unfolding. No one seemed to want to mention the Treble but everyone had one eye on it.

Had to watch that one at home. Concluded any such treble was impossible when Pip came up with that abominable defending.

It was as my head was in my hands I noticed my six year old in tears. Told him not to worry as the Dane would save it

He's 24 now and never doubts a £#%&!ing thing I say

Got tickets on the morning of the match, Arsenal supporting boss was happy let me go, me and a mate drove up at lunchtime.
Best game I've ever attended and consider myself very lucky.

Watched it in a pub with two Arsenal fans screaming in my face when they scored and again when they got the penalty.

My face at full-time

Thats the saddest part of those 18 years passing just cant drink on a school night anymore. In fact cant drink unless I know I have absolutely nothing to do the following day, so I can sit on the sofa all day with the curtains closed gripped with the fear and feeling very very sorry for myself.
