Mate, if he can make a living talking about Utd (no matter how much of a tit he comes across to us), then fair enough. Look at how much time we've spent on Fred over the years, debating the club and general shit, without ever earning a penny (Armchair not included, but nobody's going to begrudge him for getting something back anyway).

Think about the message he's setting to his generation, who typically can't handle a bit of criticism or cave in when the going gets tough. He's got his plan of a Utd themed media empire, set out his stall, gets knocked by nearly everyone (with some pretty nasty and personal abuse), yet has stuck to his guns and reaching a bigger audience. I'd love it if he makes it, for the comedy factor and the roots of his beginning, if nothing more. If Mark Goldbridge can make it, so can WE!

Replace 'makes it' with 'suffers massive psychic breakdown in late twenties' and we're on the same page.

Fred knew The Goldbridge was 'on the way' - Newcomer of the year in his first couple of months - pivotal moment, can't wait to read about it in his autobiography and see how it's covered in the biopic.
