City's owners have dropped £1bn+ on that shower and still their manager implies they are tight. Mancini did the same too

They live in a fantasy world mate. All of them. Mourinho’s the worst.

Love how he says they can't compete with our forwards

yeah i'm sorry that their assorted 200 million quid's worth of forwards they used on saturday couldn't compete with two youth academy products and a lad from swansea

what is going on with that? the 'we can't compete with x/y/z' is some sort of political move. very odd

not the first time the move was pulled.

think jose and lvg both mentioned not being about to compete with top sides

but Guardiola has spent so much. Also who remembers him signing like 6 fullbacks and yet v us they struggled at fullback.

a lot of people say that teams that intensely close down fade after a couple of seasons. I don't think i agree

happened at bayern as well. steamrolled everyone for a while and then the players started getting injured. He works them like dogs every day and eventually they run out of steam

It'll happen to Liverpool under Klopp as well at some stage. Playing and training at that intensity for extended periods surely must have an effect

It sounds like he’s angling; maybe prepping his reason for leaving. Possibly they wouldn’t back him strongly enough for McGuire (or some other CB target) and now one injury to Laporte coupled with Kompany’s retirement has left him having to rely on Stones and Ottamendi, who are patently not good enough.

Him playing Fernandinho there feels like a statement, but he’s cutting off his nose to spite his face because they lose so much in the middle of the park with him not there. Guardiola is an excellent coach but he’s so fragile.

I think he is working his ticket out of there. I can’t believe that they don’t have a youth player that could step up and join the first team at CB

They have, a blue in here was bitching about it, a lad called Diaz or something. Will likely play tonight or tomorrow, whenever they play, but he won't pick him in the league
