Default Moyes is having a clear out next summer..

The Daily Mail reports that United manager David Moyes is seriously considering the future of the club’s most influential and loyal servants. Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra, Ryan Giggs and Michael Carrick, along with Fabio, will see their deals expire at the end of this season. The paper claims that all six are facing uncertain times at Old Trafford, with Ferdinand, 35 in a fortnight, the player who "should be the most twitchy".

Paper Round's view: It's a fair assumption to make that five of those six could well be gone by the end of the season. Only Carrick, and Giggs to some extent, are performing consistently well, and Giggs can't go on forever (can he?). The others are surely nearing the end of their Old Trafford careers, although Moyes must do far better in the transfer market next summer if he is to allow them to leave with any kind of confidence.

Vidic, Evra and Carrick should be kept around.

I like the fact that Rio is getting twitchy because he's 35 but they think Giggs who will be 41 next season could be ok

They are so gone they didn't even need a mention. Don't get the Fabio leaving thing, and young player who can play both right back and left back.

i don't trust moyes or the equaliser to bring in the necessary quality to replace any of those players, so i'm not sure this is good news.

Should get Fabio signed for another 5 years asap. Love Mad Paddy, but I think he should take a big fat juicy pay cheque and allow Fabbers the chance to cement the left back spot (at least give us one season of the Twins playing in the same team Mr Moyesie, Sir ).

Otherwise I'd keep Vidic and Carrick, but let go of Rio . Personally would love to see Giggsy play on and on (if nothing more than for domestic cup games). What a man.

Would love to see our summer deals done ala the summer on 2007, £#%&!ing early on. May be tricky though considering we won't be able to offer CL football.

I get the impression Moyes has worked out fairly quickly who he wants out and, ignoring the article and judging him on which players he is dropping, I like the look of what he is doing.

After Fellaini though I am shit scared of seeing who he replaces them with.
