one of the best weekends of my life.

United won 9-0.

Watched live and kicking on bbc1 and it had clarissa explains it all on it loved her. I think it was the same weekend 'looking back over my shoulder' by mike and the mechanics was released...

then went out with my mate and i got to finger blast kerry from my IT class in school when we met her and her mates in shepherds bush KFC

back to my house in time for match of the day.

What a day.

Whilst we were all jizzing over that, Blackburn ground out a 1-0 win at some shithole. They won the league by a single point

yeah by the time it got to april/may we were having to win to stay on Blackburn's heels. That win away coventry was massive..

We'd given ourselves too much to do though. Drawing 0-0 at home to Spurs, Chelsea and Leeds in the run-in killed us.

Not to mention, the week before that 9-0 drubbing we'd lost 1-0 away at Everton who were battling £#%&!ing relegation. I seem to remember duncan ferguson scoring and taking off around goodison like a £#%&!ing gazelle.

Our local football club put on a coach trip to watch it

Towards the end of that one, I'm sure we were denied one of the most blatant penalties EVER - anybody else recall this?

12 year old me was at that one. Giggs was absolutely relentless all game.

Recall SAF said George Burley snubbed him after the game, SAF also said he told the team not to score the 10th goal as it would be unthinkable for a manager to lose with that scoreline...

Chants for that game that stick in my mind are:

"King Cole, King Andy Cole - coming up to score another goal" to swing low sweet chariot and after every goal

5 nil without Cantona...
6 nil without Cantona..

to ooh ah Eric Cantona.

Ipswich fans joined in the Mexican wave too.
