No. No he isn’t. We’re skint, short on numbers and can only do loans. Cheap loans at that. It’s an exceptional situation where our already-tight-arsed owners are being extra tight because they’re selling.

It’s an option for six months until we buy a proper forward.

Why are people insisting on pretending they don’t know this and like he’s a top target of Ten Hag’s?
Maybe they're unbelievably stupid?

Convinced that some posters on here just like to rubbish any potential signings so that if they do come and turn out to be shit they can go “told you so”. Probably a bit of a byproduct of the last 10 years of us being not very good.

I have also wondered what some on here would post about if/when we get ourselves together and start winning things again.

He has to be better than Ighalo, so it’s fine by me

And Falcao probably

As long as we don’t try to make a player out of him he’ll be fine.

Use him for the last 10 minutes of games punting high balls in to the box.

To be fair to Igahlo he was abit shit but he wasn't exactly a disaster of a signing. Worked hard and scored a few. It will be no worse than if we don't get anyone.

He's apparently nowhere near as good in the air as you'd suspect for a big man, bit of a Crouch type who's a bit ungainly but technically very decent & puts a shift in. Bit surprised he's in Turkey but he also falls out with his colleagues (a Dutchy...?! ) so maybe that's why.

For peanuts & a stopgap, £#%&! it. Get him in, he's scored hat-tricks in Germany and clutch goals in the World Cup, 3rd / 4th choice next season as an option it makes sense to me. We're woefully understocked up top ffs, no justification for not being able to afford it with Ronaldo out the door.

Agreed, and on WW, surely the thought of only having Martial strolling about for the next few games before he gets injured means having the big man is at least better than nothing!

All he needs to do is stand still and let the others bounce it in off his head. I don't understand the whining, well it is understandable from the wind up merchants, if it works thats ace and if it doesn't we are no worse off.

More importantly, when are we being bought so we can buy the world?
