Lingard strikes me as that kind of person. Probably goes by the handle LingardinhoSzn to fit in with the other virgins who spam the comments to the club's official account.

Don't like to see hate being poured on our players, but whatever development he had when he broke through has completely stalled. His stats are brutal.

I read somewhere that he said he needed to have more self belief which is already a warning sign. You might get a player saying they felt that way when they were 14, but he's a Manchester United player on serious £k.

You’ll get no argument from me that Mata and Matic circa ‘19 are rubbish, but both have been superb players in their careers, Lingard has never been close to that level, ever. Pereira is a nothing player, but he’s played nowhere near the number of games Lingard has.
