It’s not, when you consider how martial turned to shit as soon as he had his cushy new contract. Guess we only have another 4 1/2 years to wait before he can be arsed playing well again.

Hopefully, much of this is injury and lack of conditioning.

He ran up and down the line a few times 2nd half I think - I was praying he come on for fatty. Promptly sat down and got stuck into 20 gitanes the moody French £#%&!.

Obvs a breakdown following ole getting frustrated with him. Possibly frustrated with him because he’s probably our most naturally gifted player. But is horrifically French in attitude. The lad’s clearly a slapped arse and it’s odd not to call that out and not back the manager.

I suspect people are way more invested in their previous positions than what’s in the best interests of the club if I’m being honest. It’s either an ego thing or a wind up, because this is becoming blatant.

Notice how the defence of this kid has become very long on things like contracts, positions, other players and agendas and very short on arguments actually defending his work ethic and commitment. I’ve long suspected that, no matter who the manager is or what they’re telling him, that Martial simply does what he wants to do. That must be infuriating for a manager because what alternative do you have than ultimately leaving him out despite his potential?

Anyway, let’s get back to the really relevant stuff like discussing how Messi warms up.
