Those were the days. Top day out. Probably 3000 reds there.

3000? That’s a small following for those days - usually more like 10000. Their ground capacity was about 52000 back then and not necessarily all ticket matches. We’d definitely fill the Anfield Rd, maybe 8000? back then which was smaller than Leeds away end.

We only had the bottom tier so maybe 5-6000. There were a few in the top tier plus all the fans scattered around the ground.
