Well if we lose tomorrow we’re 5th

And we’ve won 3 of the last 8 league games.

If Spurs win too. And we have two games in hand on them. Newcastle also have 3 wins in their last 8. Spurs have 4 in their last 8. Hardly a concern when that’s the standard chasing us. They also play each other
In a couple of weeks.

Or we could win and be 6 clear of Newcastle.

It’s 2 from 3 and we’re better than both of them.

They also have one game a week for the rest of the season. While our performances over the last month particularly have deteriorated and we look ever more tired.

We’ve been handling 2 games a week all season and we’re sat in 3rd. Newcastle have had one game a week for most of this season and are still behind.

We’ve also got Eriksen and Casemiro to come back.

Do you actually think we’ll finish 5th or are you just doing the usual doom spin on things?

No. I just think there’s more than fair chance we’re going to stumble over the line this season given our fixtures and the fact we can’t rotate the squad.

There’s no way we’ll beat Brentford and Everton at home, either. Everton 12:30 kick off Saturday after a midweek game has dropped points written all over it.

We’ll have our ups and downs. As you say, squad it’s stretched. But I don’t expect us to have any more than the others. It’s not like a title race where a bad two weeks can ruin everything. The margin for error is bigger. We’d need something like a collapse to see us in big trouble or not making it, and I think we’re too good and too spirited for that.

And on a fundamental level, I don’t think either spurs or Newcastle are better than us and I’m confident that will show come May.

No they couldn’t.

They’re 5 behind if they win today.

And Brighton have a penalty here to level.

We’ve all fallen foul of that one mate*

*thinking Martial will play.

Draw for Brighton and Brentford puts them both above Liverpool 👍

Great game at Brighton. They have just converted a penalty in the 89th minute to make it 3-3 v Brentford. Both will go above Liverpool if it stays that way. 6 minutes injury time to play.

New managers win games Palace beat Leicester 2-1

You have to watch MOTD just for the Brighton game. Both of these will be a big challenge! Some cracking players on show!

Sadly this is my prediction as well.

cant get away with our striker “making the team play better” but not scoring.

which is ironically what a striker is on the pitch for.

Jesus came back for arsenal and is already back in the goals.
