Very likeable guy, too. He conducted himself remarkably well when Warnock's goons were trying to break them in half a couple of weeks ago.

Yep, amongst all the mouthy, big-egoed @#%&!s like Warnock, Megson and Allardyce he is a breath of fresh hair.


He's created something very special at Reading, not too dissimilar to what Rodgers did at Swansea.

He was only there for 6 months, that was over 2 years ago as well. McDermott has been at Reading for 12 years in various roles.

Plus the "good work" there was started by Coppell, really. They broke all sorts of records in the promotion season.
