Positives from the summer
Following on from the ‘Positives from Sunday’ thread and in response to (understandable) shouts of relentless negativity, let’s remind ourselves of some of the good aspects of ending last seasons nightmare and what we’ve seen since.
If the window closed tomorrow and keep the negativity out. I’ll tee off: 1. The signings: we need more, but what we do have, I’m pleased with. All bring something we don’t have, all seem to have the right attitude and something to prove. 2. The training and leaks. Training seems intense and the players seem to be responding. No noises (yet) of any discontent. “Triangles! Always triangles” 3. You can see a style. Even though Maguire to Fred to The Scottish Player is heart-attack inducing, you can see what we’re trying to do. There is a clear style. and a willingness to undertake it. That’s stage one. It’s early days and bad habits ensure it won’t always happen, but we never abandoned what we are trying to implement at any point on Sunday. 4. Out of contract players gone. We could have easily kept them on new deals as ‘assetts’. 5. Erik £#%&!ing Ten Hag 😎 NFT |

If we don’t get reinforcements - are we in for a relegation battle? We’ve been humiliated by Brighton and Brentford. Not Spurs and Chelsea. We are plumbing the bloody depths. |

even all the mid table teams can harass us and with our Gk and CB’s being #@&%!s there’s always half a chance for them. I did say on the eve of the season we will be in crisis mode by October. |
