It's amazing how poor quality TV was in the 90's, like watching through soup.

Glad there were around 50 away fans there to see it.

I can remember reading in the papers in the summer of 1994 that Brian Kidd had been to Italy to assure both Gascoigne and Platt we were still interested.

Looking back I have no idea how even one of them would have fitted in. Ince sold perhaps.

Selling Ince is up there with getting rid of the likes of Stam, a midfield three of Ince, Scholes and Keane would have been the best in the world.

I’m with you on Ince.

Whatever happened after he left doesn’t change what he did when he was here. There’s a sequence of play (against Barcelona I think) where he snaps in to 2 or 3 tackles and wins possession leading to a goal. Encapsulated what he was about.

Fantastic player.
