Default Mars

We are getting closer aren't we?

I reckon I won't be around to walk on it, but I reckon the option will be there for me to get my ashes scattered on it

What at time to be alive.

This is the state of play, footage from a remote controlled chopper hovering just above the surface :

You'd think they'd do a quick one to the moon first. If it's so easy.

Mars though.

Stag do's. It's not THAT far in the future... our descendants drinking a sip of summat purple and staggering around some starport...

I agree it's a bit Dubai with all the course sand, but we cannot pick and choose. Half the planets are made of gas ffs

Might hang onto my unused weighted vest, just in case.

How are sports going to played there without any gravity? Would be perfect conditions for Fred, his shots outside the box would go from worm-burners to absolute screamers without gravity.

There is gravity, just less of it.

The high jump records will be immense

Mars could host the Olympics!

The idea that we can view images of another planet just as we can our own, high quality and taken just a few hours ago, is slightly mind blowing tbph.
