Default Daley Blind...

Was a failure/was not a failure at United.

Remains one of our best signings since Ferguson left. He was a versatile player with a great range of passing. Loved his attitude and wanted him to stay. Could provide cover in several positions.

Top red.

Thought we were getting him in on loan then...

Should never have been sold.

should have added some context... reason for the thread is he was brought up on the Donny thread where one poster (won't mention Lok's name as don't want to shame him) said this...

Quote:
The problem with Van Der Beek is that he's shit. A bit like Blind, he came, he failed and he left. Both were apparently very 'technical' players, yet 9 times out of 10 you wouldn't notice they're even on the pitch.
Quote:
He was shit, that's why we ditched him despite us being desperate for decent defenders. We were lucky that Ajax would have him back.

Don’t forget this part -

He was a bit like Harry Magure except without any physicality whatsoever.

Who changed my vote???

In what way was he a success? He was shit so we sold him. The only club who would take him play in the Dutch league.

Sooooooo technically gifted

I would genuinely rather have Maguire. He's equally clueless but at least he has a bit of strength.

I bet the people voting positively for him also thought Larsson was good for us football purists

He was shite for us, we couldn’t get rid of him quick enough. £#%&! knows what he’s done elsewhere because I’d watched enough of him for us.

Basically this....

Didn't pull up trees but was a solid pro and a useful addition to the side.

Certainly not a 'failure', whatever your definition of the word. Unless you're using Lok's dictionary.

He was decent. Like May, Smalling or Varane.

Neither of those options seem to cover it.

There should be an option for 'wasn't a complete failure but was slow and therefore relatively shit'.

Classic Buunks, could write all of his football opinions across the great wall of China and still they'd all be wrong.

Good lad apparently though....

If he was a success surely he’d still be here?
