I see Maguire has made the squad despite zero minutes of football.
So has Jordan Henderson despite playing semi pro football.

Southgate is a drip - England will never progress with him in charge*

Also, it's another reason why Maguire is still here. He knows he plays for England no matter what

Genuinely one of the shittest midfielders going. Baffles me that he keeps getting picked - he’s done nothing for England. I’d have Ward-Prowse over him ffs.

Can only assume Sterling snapped recently and called him a boring, weak @#%&! via WhatsApp. He was basically teachers pet for Southgate so something must have gone on for him to not be included.

Maguire had to be included because there's quite a few injuries. Southgate will probably still include him in the future but he didn't have much choice this time.
