Guarantee this won't happen. He wants a few trophies before the end of his career.

Our owners need to wake up.

We don’t need £100m signings, they would be pointless. You need that type of signing when you’re looking for that extra push to give you the edge over your rivals.

We need 20 new players, they need to be on the right side of 26 with everything to prove. Hungry, desperate to be the best and prepared to graft like £#%&! to do it.

We should be scouring the globe and bringing in players/arranging deals constantly for the next 2-3 years, ruthlessly snapping up talent and selling them on the second they don’t appear to be cutting the mustard.

If we buy Rice or Kane for £100m this summer it’ll put us back another 5 years imo, unless they arrive alongside another 5-6 players of the required quality, which they won’t.

Yes, sadly this true. Kane would move a lot of merchandise which is more important to the Glazer's than long term success on the pitch.

Could see this happening. Fred and McTom to make 40 plus starts each next season.

Sounds like the kind of player united would spend 100m on.

I doubt they are going to have him stacking shelves at the megastore. even if that is all he is good for.

Unquestionably. And I can't wait. Starts the season well, out in October with a thigh strain, back in early Dec, out in January with a niggling back problem, back at the end of the month, seven game goal drought, knee injury in March, rushed back in May to fight for a fourth place finish and does his cruciates. Ruled out for 12 months.

Why would Kane leave an underperforming team to go to another underperforming team with no chance of immediate honours but guaranteed to be miles more toxic and stressful.

Wouldn't be surprised if we signed Son instead. More Asian reach for the socials.

I hate modern football.
