Our owners need to wake up.
We don’t need £100m signings, they would be pointless. You need that type of signing when you’re looking for that extra push to give you the edge over your rivals. We need 20 new players, they need to be on the right side of 26 with everything to prove. Hungry, desperate to be the best and prepared to graft like £#%&! to do it. We should be scouring the globe and bringing in players/arranging deals constantly for the next 2-3 years, ruthlessly snapping up talent and selling them on the second they don’t appear to be cutting the mustard. If we buy Rice or Kane for £100m this summer it’ll put us back another 5 years imo, unless they arrive alongside another 5-6 players of the required quality, which they won’t. |
