Is Nemanja currently the best defender in the world?

I know he had a dodgy couple of games at the start of the season but he has been, overall, consistently brilliant the past two years now. I really thought we would struggle losing Rio but, bloody hell, you dont even notice he isn't there the past couple of months the way Vidic has been commanding the back line. Wouldnt swap him for anyone other defender in the world. John Terry my arse.

Based on this season in general. Vidic has been outstanding. Nobody ever looks like getting past him. IMO he's the main reason we're getting new clean sheet records every week.

He may have to miss a couple of the next games, no matter how well he is playing though. Either Evans or Brown need to get a game or two before Inter, surely?

We're lucky to have had two brilliant pairings in a shortish space of time.

Pally and Brucey, Rio and Vida.

You'd have to say that the latter are genuinely the best in world football at the minute.
