I see the trouble has begun out there.

Rioting outside an Irish pub (draped in Chelsea flags).

Unsurprisingly the England fans have accused the police of 'over reacting' and being 'heavy handed'.

Tossers.

nothing else has occurred/is occurring/will possibly occur tonight

Ah yes.

I remember the last time we played them.

I recall Rooney nearly getting sent off before half-time.

More on Setanta...

Apparently the reason behind it is 'Spanish police not understanding the English fans'

Some are complaining that the police don't speak English either.

Bloody hell

Edit: it started after the English fans were throwing oranges at passing taxis

Scouse-esque levels of whinging on Setanta now.

'We weren't throwing glasses, we weren't throwing chairs, we were throwing oranges (at moving vehicles carrying passengers) in the spirit of fun'

That's a disgrace, our police at least have the decency to require fluency in several languages before they're allowed to join the force.

Lazy bastards.

we must have the WORST assortment of strikers of any national team lol.

if heskey got injured we'd probably have to get James Beattie in lol.

but i'm hopeful of tonight.

we've been playing much better football under Capello.

so i' think we'll match them on that front.

cause that last friendly we played was embarassing. we were made to look like kids. Xavi ran the game from start to finish.

Usually on a different channel as well.

Sky + is great for watching games 15 mins after they start and then watching straight through without the lengthy ad breaks and 'expert' analysis at half-time

tbh i'd rather watch an hour and a half of MotD's greatest one liners than have sky in the house

take your point though

I'd plump for a starting XI of...

James

Johnson
Rio
Terry
Cole

Lampard
Carrick
Barry

Young
Agbonlahor
Milner

Only on Fred or Red could this be on page 2 an hour before kick off

It's most read thread on Renters forum

Anyway, hopefully Jagielka keeps Torres in his pocket again, before snapping him in two late on. An injury for Lampard and death for terry would also be fine. If only so Scolari can say 'I hope John is ok, and im sure TWO OR THREE of the other lads do too'.

as I have said before, I would rather United win a throw in

in their own half

at a pre season friendly

at Kidderminster

than England ever win any game, ever

its the FA's team, remember that

I dont get overly excited about them. Neither do I expend a lot of effort in to hating them. Get over it.
