yes - but he was a sweeper. Forwards tend to get more recognition. Can't think of any modern day player more deserving.

the interesting thing about the interview was when he was talking about his own knighthood, saying how his wife still gets on at him for ever accepting it in the first place

easy to imagine how they all take the piss out of it privately tbh
