[SIZE="4"]Previous Meeting:

Last meeting between the two sides at Old Trafford took place almost exactly a year ago, on the 29th December 2020.

Despite bossing the possession and passing stats on the day, the game turned into a bit of a struggle. Wolves had a couple of early half chances without ever really threatening, before Bruno forced a good save from Patricio after getting on the end of a Greenwood cross at the back post. De Gea was then tested and made a decent save after a Wolves wide free kick was flicked towards his near post.

Half time.

Second half, Traore ran around a bit. Pogba forced a save.Nothing much else happened until the 93rd minute when Bruno managed to find Rashford behind the Wolves backline. After collecting the ball wide and facing up to goal his path was blocked by a wall of Wolves players. Some nifty footwork created an opening and his deflected shot wrong-footed Patricio who could only watch the ball nestle in the bottom corner.

Lovely late winner.

[SIZE="4"]Match Tit Bits

Despite them appearing to be a bit of a bogey team over the last few years, we have won our last three games against Wolves in the Premier League. Our last winning run which betters this one against Wolves in League competition was 5 games between 1964 - 1968.

Wolves are without a win in their last 10 away league games against us, drawing 3 and losing 7 and failing to score on 7 occasions. Their last league win at Old Trafford was a 1-0 win in February 1980.

Wolves havent scored first in any of their last 13 Premier League games against us since beating us 1-0 at the Molineux in January 2004.

We have a higher win rate in Premier League games in January than any other side in the history of the competition (65.5%, winning 74 of 113 games).

On the flip side, January is Wolves worse month in terms of win rate in the Premier League, winning just 17.2% of their games (winning 5 out of 29).

We have the highest win rate of all sides in the Premier League for games played on a Monday (64.7%, winning 44 out of 68 games). We’ve lost only 1 of our last 17 games played on a Monday (winning 8 and drawing 8). The one defeat was a 3-0 defeat against Spurs in August 2018.

[SIZE="4"]Match Prediction:

As it’s both January and a Monday, there’s a 130.2% chance that we win this game.

4-0 with clickage all over the pitch.

Wolves and next up villa are half decent outfits that will tell us a lot about the impact, or otherwise, that Ralfie is having.

No idea how this pans out.

Maguire injured according to the Athletic. Bailly a doubt. If he doesn't make it....

Adam traore was a continuous threat
Last time we faced them
He will be too hot for us to handle

Was hoping to see him up against the fridge,
Maybe Jones will fair a bit better ?

Want to see more of Thursday night's
Performance minus the errors

and Shaw's aggressive pressing out of possession.

Thumbs down

Guber ffs. Rather field 8 players from kick off than start that gobshite.

He'll probably end up gifting the game to Wolves in some mongtacular Frank Spencer esque mishap resulting in Old Trafford collapsing into a pile of dust and debris.

I think I'd have to go Matic at centre half rather than Jones tbh.

Hope Jonesy starts, scores the winner and turns into the second coming of Duncan Edwards

Would have a great character arc, NQAT. And a poem instead of a theme song.
