Only 2 teams have ever failed to win the league after amassing as many points as Arsenal at this stage, us in '85 and the dippers in '90. Disgusting tbh.

Dippers won it in 90.

I can see Arsenal doing it tbh, City are struggling a bit more than the last couple seasons with the more routine fixtures. If they slip in the next couple….

You made me think about 1989 again and Michael Thomas again, so you’re forgiven.

Aye. There’s an assumption they’ll just kick on because they’re the best team. They are, but they’re also very careless. They drop daft points and I think they’re better front runners than chasers. They’re bullies.

4-6 points (after level games) and they’ll fancy it, but more than that and they’ll be leaving themselves a lot to do. With each win, Arsenal look less likely to just fall away. I think they deserve to be taken seriously.

They are undoubtedly better leaders than chasers. When Liverpool started like a house on fire in 19/20 they borderline collapsed.

Yep. They’re relentless in the sense that they make the routine look very simple most of the time. Their play their quality and them at 7 out of 10 will beat most teams, most of the team. But when it doesn’t. When they need to go deep and find something extra or different, they’re not the best at it. It’s why they struggle in the CL. There’s teams that are their equal and aren’t afraid of them and they can’t find that extra gear to beat them.

I’d love the arse to win it but I Can’t see it - their squad is pretty shit outside their first 11 and they’ve lost their best player for 3 months or something.

City will pressure them now and their arses will go.

yesterday was a big win for them

lot of pressure on and come back from a goal down to win well.

i am cynical like yourself but they have a decent chance
