Suprised by that, used to enjoy the reserves years ago when the more established players would play when coming back from injury, doesn't happen as much anymore.

True. I remember Giggs playing for the reserves against Witton Albion, 3 days later he played against Juventus.

He stayed afterwards in the social club (at Witton) and signed autographs for everyone.

When was that?

Are you sure it wasn't a Manchester United XI game rather than a full reserve fixture.

Giggs has only ever played 13 reserve games + 3 sub appearences which is a lot less than say Scholes, Beckham or Neville.

He would have played quite a few friendly's to raise funds for the home club, open new grounds ect where an inexperienced team with one or two first team players get a run out.

Cracking football for that goal, Joe Dudgeon did very well. Macheda looking much better in general than he has recently imo.

What a difference VDS makes. He has dealt woth everything with a zen like calm, controlled everything. His distribution has bee brilliant as well.

Even Oliver Gill has looked somewhere near competent in front of him

Our next keeper needs to be 6' 5'' at least, his sheer size is half the battle. Shortarse's can get £#%&!ed.
