I think probably this one for me. I just remember a fantastic atmosphere, we had a third of the Clock End and loads in the seats down the side opposite the main stand. A brilliant night.

After years of the Old Etonian (forget his name) £#%&!in us over against them and the dippers, we got Poll.

Might have the wrong match btw
Silvestre got sent off in the 4-2 win in 05

Barcelona 84 at home will probably never be beaten for atmosphere, result, and memories. If you were there it will always be the highest, non cup winning moment in your United following life. And I've had a few day's and nights that I thought would not be beaten, but how's about an appreciation of another team coming to OT and giving us a shoeing.
Probably the best game of football I've seen live.
Shit result, but paved the way for the next few years.
Viva Big Ron.

hope the link works.

Yep. I ended up elbowing an Arsenal fan in the face after that game.
He was arguing that Ole went down too easily. I said he was elbowed in the £#%&!ing face. He argued that he's a man and shouldn't have gone down holding his face.
So I elbowed him and he dropped like a sack of shit surprisingly.

Yep - Never thought we'd get revenge for the 5-1 in 89, then five years later we did em. Kanchelskis' finest hour for United in that match.

Good one - we looked dead and buried at half time. Came out a different team in the second half, and when we got one back, you just knew it was on. Keano was inspired.

Great memories of the NYD 89 game. Got married on New Year's Eve, watched that match on the Sunday, went on honeymoon on the Monday morning. Perfect 48 hours

Barca 84 was one of the great "I was there" nights. Robbo > Maradona

Remember seeing a paper after the 10th win, headline screaming "UNITED WILL WIN THE TITLE" and then I think in the 11th or 12th game we just about managed to scrape a draw with the scousers at OT, and they ran rings round us, and reality bit.

Honestly think it was all the talk about Hughes going to Barcelona that unsettled him and the team and killed that season.

Great shout from the archives. Remember at the end of the game we were singing "2-0 down, 3-2 up, now we're gonna win the cup" Only we didn't, we lost to Southampton in the final
