Goes without saying I’d have thought

Reckon this fella would give a bit back though.

There's an elephant in the room here guys.

Lev Yashin
Peter Schmeichel
Gigi Buffon
Dino Zoff
Oliver Khan
Pat Jennings
Andoni Zubizarreta
Walter Zenga
Edwin Van der Sar

What's the thing they've all got in common?

I'm not saying a black guy can't be a worldy keeper

Just, you know, it hasn't happened before. Is this the guy to break new ground?

Look up the 1950 nba world champions.

When I was a kid a lot of the african teams had white goalkeepers and all of them had white coaches.

Onana, Mount, Striker. Far from perfect, but within our budget and three positions that upgrade us. Shift a few and we can get another one in.

Same, but happy with this guy too. Like it or not, keepers being able to pass these days is absolutely massive. Dave’s lack of quality on the ball and his generally passiveness kills us. This guy is the opposite. I’m sure he’ll have his wacky bastard moments, but he’s clearly got something about him. Looking forward to him chest bumping Martinez every time we concede a corner.

Wiki says 6' 3". Still looking for pictures of him without his top on, but won't be able to confirm if he's the brute i've been asking for in case i get cancelled.

In May 2019, Onana spoke out about being a black goalkeeper, saying they had to work harder than their white counterparts due to misconceptions about them making "mistakes".
Interesting.

You just need to look at the excuses and protection de Gea has enjoyed for the last 5 years compared to the savaging Tim Howard got to see where he’s coming from tbf.

T-Ho got a very raw deal, he was a solid keeper and twice the man that fraud Carroll was.
