Default 35 goals conceded this season

and 25 of those came in 6 games.

Jesus Christ. When we're bad, we're bad.

It’s strange too, because we CAN defend well. When we’re protecting a lead, we’re good at it:

Southampton a
Leicester a
Leeds a
Wolves a
Cup final

All hard fought clean sheets away from home.

It just seems that when we do concede, there’s sometimes more to follow.

It’s simple enough. There are still quite a few in our team who don’t have either the quality to compete at the very top consistently, and/or the mentality to do so.

If one of them isn’t up to it, maybe even two, we just about get by. Any more than that, and against the very best in the league, we get thumped. Yesterday, all the mentality midgets turned up at once. All of them have been here a while, and probably too long.

We've played 21 games since the World Cup finished, winning 16, drawing 3 and losing 2.

We lost to arsenal in the last minute, and the bad thing yesterday.

Bingo. Giving up is a very easy habit to fall back into.

Have a look at the Liverpool side Klopp inherited when he took over in 2015 compared the one he won the league with in 2020. It's completely different.

I daresay any United side that goes onto genuinely compete for a PL title will be dramatically different to the one you saw at Anfield yesterday.
