G2c Reds on here turning their nose up at the best young central midfield talent in world football when they've spent the past decade watching the likes of Fellaini, Schneiderlin, Fred and The Scottish Player trotting around in the shirt.

United should be going all-in for Bellingham this summer. Not only is his ability ridiculous, but his attitude and maturity is levels above anyone within his age group, and is an indication he could step up into the huge spotlight at United without being overawed.

Its always good to have a strong English/British contingent in the squad, too. I'd definitely take him over that gutless gimp De Jong.

It's a nonsense to just ignore what other players have moved for & expect people to pay what you think is right on the internet

Dortmund are also bloody good at locking players down to long contracts, developing them & then maximising their re-sale. The only player they've been done over on was with Haaland, of course
Considering Man City are paying him £865,000 per week (46 million a year) he wasn`t going anywhere else. Do I take the "rolled eye`s" as allegedly as there might be a seperate payment to them from an as yet undisclosed source?

Like there are a host of better midfielders waiting to be bought by us

Think it's partly because he is English, and it's somewhat fashionable to shit on young English players/suggest they're overhyped. He might not be exactly the player we are looking for but he has the technique and athleticism to do well alongside Casemiro. Tbh in the medium to long-term I think he could take over from Bruno and offer us more stability overall even if it meant less guile.

£150m would be far too much, and we need a striker and a goalkeeper but I don't see anyone paying anything like that. We should be talking to his agents and readying an offer imo.

Maybe de Jong just doesn't fit that well there, but I've been underwhelmed by him when I've seen him play for Barca and even his passing hasn't been anything spectacular. Not sure he has the personality or physicality to do really well in the Prem.

Doesn’t make it any less of a piss take. Same for Fernandez.

The transfer fee levels have to be unsustainable.

In terms of unadulterated footballing ability, the World Cup winning Paul Pogba is world class. The touch, the balance, the weight of pass, the utterly ridiculous long range strike technique, the charisma, the body, the brand presence, the je ne sais quoi.

Would be immense under Ten Hag, FWiW. Would take Bellingham though if PP isn't gettable.

They're sustainable for everyone else in Europe, it's just the idiots in the PL these days getting rinsed & that's because of the likes of Utd & Chelsea being bad at their jobs & the likes of Ajax, Dortmund & Benfica being good at theirs.

When the PL generates £4bn a year & the rest of the European leagues are barely making 20-25% of that it becomes a game of get what you can from the @#%&!s.

Top sides really need to operate with some nous, looking at the Bayern squad on Weds was incredible they were playing PSG who probably spent more on Mbappe & Messi's wages alone than they did on their starting XI. They've only spent more than €50m on a player twice in their history (De Ligt & Lucas Hernandez - defenders )

Being a well run, top club is what it's about. The circus we've become under Woodward is unforgivable, Boehly is doing the same at Chelsea. Dortmund are well within their rights to get what they can from idiots - the way they got Barca to cough up £140m+ for Dembele ffs

If anyone wants Bellingham while he's this hot means they'll get a similar fee - if we were a well run club, with a clear understanding of the game, we would have got him before he went to Dortmund. We should have £#%&!ing bought him & loaned him there for 2 years to develop & paid them. Would still have saved £100m+.
